The Construction Technology program at North Lake College provides the practical skills and technical knowledge necessary to advance in the fields of residential or commercial construction and contracting.

From carpentry and masonry to sheet metal work and welding, the construction industry represents the largest group of skilled workers and supervisors in the country. Job opportunities are plentiful for workers with the right skills and knowledge. North Lake's Construction Technology Program will provide you the training you need to get started or get ahead in this challenging and rewarding field. Small, hands-on classes are taught in high-tech labs with the latest equipment.
Students who complete the Construction Technology program find a wide variety of job opportunities with excellent starting salaries. Career options include craftsperson in the building trades, field engineer, estimator, building inspection, insurance and manufacturing representative, field supervisor, sub-contractor and builder in either commercial or residential construction. Graduates become an important part of the construction team and work on all kinds of projects, from highways to houses.
