Programs of Study

North Lake College offers a wide variety of courses, from accounting to web design. Some are credit classes, along the path to an associate or higher degree; others are non-credit courses, best for workplace advancement or personal fulfillment. What classes you choose will depend on your personal and professional goals.

Credit classes lead to the associate degree or credit certificate, and credit for all core curriculum classes at North Lake is guaranteed to transfer to any public Texas college or university. Choose credit classes if you expect to graduate with an associate degree, or plan to transfer and complete your bachelor's.

Non-credit (continuing education) classes do not count toward academic degrees, and do not award grades. However, certifications and other credentials can be used to meet professional requirements, and CE classes include offerings like English as a Second Language and GED test preparation.
