Admissions

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​North Lake College is an open-enrollment institution. You may apply for admission if you are over age 18, have a high school diploma, or have a GED certificate. Other applicants are considered individually.
 
North Lake College students have the choice to enroll in person or online.
 
To start following our simple steps to admission at NLC, choose the option which describes you:

Residency Requirements

If you want to change your residency status to get a lower tuition rate, you will need to complete this residency questionnaire (PDF). Email the completed questionnaire to Residency-NLC@dcccd.edu. We will respond by email within two business days with a list of documents required to change your residency status. 

College or University Transient Students Online Services

Students enrolled in a university who would like to take courses at North Lake College for Wintermester or Summer Sessions, and then transfer the courses back to their home college/university, can follow all the enrollment steps above online. Our convenient online service means you don't have to send proxies to enroll or register at NLC.
