Redistricting

Dallas County Community College District board policy requires that trustee district boundaries be reviewed every 10 years immediately after the release of the federal government’s decennial census data.

When census data indicates substantive changes or shifts in population have occurred since the previous census, the Board of Trustees reconfigures the district boundaries to ensure that each trustee district represents approximately the same number of constituents.

Note: A public hearing on redistricting was held July 5, 2011.
