Get Ready for the Runoffs: Go Vote!

Dallas runoff elections are underway! Joint runoff election day is Saturday, June 8 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Early voting starts Tuesday, May 28, and lasts through Tuesday, June 4. Use the early voting location finder on the Dallas County Elections website to find a place to vote during these dates.

Remember: During early voting, you can vote anywhere in your county! So if you live south, but work east, stop by Eastfield College Pleasant Grove campus to cast your early ballot! Is El Centro College – West campus on your way to pick up the kids? Then you're in luck – it's a designated early voting location, too! Or you can stop by the Richland College main campus on your lunch break. All of these and more are early voting locations, making it easy and convenient to make your voice heard.

According to the Dallas Morning News, "Campaign poll workers saw lackluster election day turnout Dallas County." May elections drew out less than 10% of registered voters to decide the future leadership of our county in races like school board, city council and the biggest ticket item, Dallas mayor. For candidates vying for an elected position who did not receive more than 50% of the votes in their district, they now have to triumph in the runoffs.

Your vote counts. Be heard. Vote.

If you live in Dallas County, visit the Voter Lookup page and insert your name and birthday. The system will tell you whether you're registered, the address at which you are registered, your precinct and the election day polling locations.
