Tish Waters Hearne brings into the classroom more than 10 years of management experience from both the private and public sectors. Her management career began at The Wall Street Journal, where she specialized in managerial sales, campaign marketing and web advertising.
She holds an associate degree from Tyler Junior College, a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Texas at Arlington and dual master’s degrees in performance management and professional development from Dallas Baptist University. She also holds an advanced certificate in higher education administration. She is pursuing graduate research courses in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Professional development and community activities include serving as a DCCCD basic leadership graduate and on the North Lake College Teaching and Learning Team; the Texas Association of Black Professionals in Higher Education; the Texas Association of College Technical Educators; Texas Community College Instructional Leaders; The PhD Project; and Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
