Dr. Lynn Brink has taught government classes at North Lake since the college opened in 1977. She holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas; a master’s degree in government and history from the University of North Texas; and a doctorate in higher education from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She also studied at La Universidad de las Américas in Mexico.
She has worked at the U.S. Department of State in Peruvian/Equadorian Affairs; has taught at two of Mexico’s universities, Universidad Autónoma in Campeche and Universidad de Guanajuato; and served as a Fulbright Scholar in Turkey.
She has conducted field study courses for North Lake in Campeche, Mexico, for 12 years and for the past five years has served as faculty in the college’s Rome program, spending much of each fall semester in Italy.
