Dr. Sharon Manna has served as full-time faculty at North Lake College since 2009, having previously served as an adjunct faculty member for seven years. She teaches Federal Government, Texas Government and Introduction to Political Science at North Lake.
She holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University at Buffalo, New York; a master’s degree in political science from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey; and a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Trenton State College in Hillwood Lakes, New Jersey.
Dr. Manna previously taught government courses at the State University of New York at Buffalo for three years; served as a lecturer at Buffalo State College for a year; and was an instructor at Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, New York, for a year.
She was a fellow at the Consortium Leadership and Renewal Academy (CLARA) at the North Texas Community College Consortium in 2016-2017; and since 2016 has served as a mentoring network member in the DCCCD Chancellor’s Faculty Fellows mentoring program in the Center for Mentoring Excellence. She is a member of North Lake’s Faculty Association and the Texas Community College Teachers’ Association (TCCTA), as well as a member of the DCCCD Guided Pathways Initiative task force.
