Digital Art and Design Program Coordinator Lisa Gabriel received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Akron, Ohio, in graphic design and a Master of Art degree in visual communications from Kent State University. Her expertise stems from a wide scope of graphic technologies, such as traditional printing techniques, digital imagery, layout design, illustration and Web applications. She is also versed in writing and designing curriculum for online, blended and face-to-face classrooms. 
Prior to teaching, she worked in corporate design and advertising in Ohio, where she was instrumental in developing a small business from the ground floor into a thriving 36-person company. With more than 20 years of industry experience, her expertise includes management and business functions for creative problem-solving and collaboration.

Ms. Gabriel maintains professional affiliations and attends functions in local and national organizations such as the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Dallas Society of Visual Communications and College Art Associations.
