Adjunct Faculty
Ed Stankunas has extensive professional experience in the mortgage
banking industry, including wholesale lending, residential loan
production, asset management and construction lending. A senior loan
officer in business development at Envoy Mortgage, he has served as an
adjunct faculty member of the Mortgage Banking program since 2002.
Mr.
Stankunas earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the
University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., and attended the School of
Mortgage Banking at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
His career experience includes serving as a mortgage banker in
business development at First United Bank in McKinney and in residential
loan production, developing new markets with builders and realtors in
Collin and Denton counties, at Bank of Texas Mortgage Group. Mr.
Stankunas has also worked in mortgage and residential loan production in
construction lending for Colonial National Mortgage, as vice president
of First State Bank of Texas and as vice president and regional manager
of the south central region of Washington Mutual, formerly Great Western
Bank.
He is a certified mortgage banker (CMB) through the Mortgage Bankers
Association of America and a certified real estate instructor (CREI)
through the Texas Real Estate Teachers Association. In addition,
he holds a mortgage brokers license in the states of Texas and Florida
as well as a real estate salesperson license in Texas.
He is a member of the Plano Chamber of Commerce and the Collin County
Association of Realtors and director of the North Collin County Habitat
for Humanity. Mr. Stankunas has held leadership positions in the
McKinney Chamber of Commerce; Florida Home Builders Association;
Mortgage Loan Officers Society of Tampa, Fla.; and the Texas Mortgage
Bankers Association. He currently serves on the City of Plano Board of
Adjustment and Collin County Appraisal Review Board.
