The Financial Aid team at Dallas County Community Colleges wants you to know that during this unprecedented and challenging period, we are here for you!
Here is some information to help you:
Financial aid for 2020-2021 will now begin in the Summer rather than the typical Fall semester. For returning students, please make sure you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Renewal for 2020-2021 as soon as possible. The 2020-2021 FAFSA goes into effect May 15, 2020. For new students, please complete the 2020-2021 FAFSA as soon as possible if you have not completed it yet. You can
complete the FAFSA and the Renewal FAFSA online.
To protect the well-being of our students, employees and community, your first point of contact is our Financial Aid Call Center. We are available from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday.
Your financial aid disbursements are in process for Spring classes that begin the week of March 30, and you can
review your Tuition Account Summary on eConnect for a current status. If you have not set up the way in which you prefer to receive refunds through
eRefunds, please do so as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will get your refund in the form of a paper check, which takes longer to receive.
If you are selected for Verification, please
complete the Verification process online. There are short videos on this website to help you, as well as a user guide you can access when you log in; just click “user guide” in the top-right corner of this
student Verification portal.
