Loosely defined, “study abroad” is any educational experience, usually for credit, that takes place away from a student’s home college and outside of the United States.

Both schools will explore the possibilities of collaborative reviews of curricula; internship opportunities; credit transfers and development of degree pathways; and student exchanges.
DCCCD Chancellor Dr. Joe May met with VAAC President Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh to discuss his vision for furthering globalization and international partnering throughout the DCCCD as well as the greater Dallas community.
Hosted by the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce and the Dallas County Community College District, the ASEAN delegation also came to the United States to explore the characteristics of effective international regional organizations and to assess global economic issues.
“I have a different perspective on things. I got a chance to explore and learn more about global concerns. I’m going to be able to incorporate that into my career and my everyday life. I want to become a family practitioner and travel to help other countries.”
