*This program is offered in conjunction with Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society; however, membership in PTK is not required. Students who complete the courses also receive a certificate of "International Leadership in Action and Development" through PTK.
Wonder what are students saying about the
International Honors Courses (IHC)?
Many believe the certificate program will help them expand their resume including Jorge Pina, a biomedical sciences student at Mountain View College.
"I'm not just competing with people in Dallas," explains Pina. "I'm competing on an international level. This (program) gives me a competitive advantage if I'm applying to an elite university or for a job."
A resume boost translates into more than job opportunities, however. A strong resume can also help you with scholarship applications— especially those for international travel or study abroad. Your honors class will introduce you to some of these scholarship opportunities.
