Did you know that more than 90% of all communication is nonverbal? That means more than 90% of any job interview is nonverbal! A candidate's success is far more dependent on how they convey their message versus what they actually say.
Perhaps the most influential nonverbal communication is the sense of sight. As the saying goes,
"A picture is worth a thousand words." One's physical appearance sends a message about how seriously they are taking the job interview (or job). It also conveys their level of success and self-worth.
To help you thrive in a highly competitive hiring and work environment, Dallas Community Colleges presents Fit 2 Hire. The shopping boutique provides new or gently used professional attire to college students (like you!).
Fit 2 Hire also offers workshop sessions to help you enhance or create your resume, improve interviewing skills and develop a positive workplace image.

You’ve Got the Job … Now What? (Room 2700A)
Any idea what you should do after you land a new job? This presentation will highlight what HR professionals have seen of many new hires that are unprepared at New Employee Orientations for onboarding. The workshop will cover topics everything from employee benefits (co-payment, co-insurance, FSA, etc.) to appropriate dress and work ethic/behavior.
