Way to go, DCCCDers! Many of you registered to vote during the voter registration drives at the colleges. The numbers keep coming in, and it is awesome to see how many of you are engaged this voting season.
For example, at North Lake, 173 students signed up over a seven-day span in January. More than 50 Volunteer Deputy Registrars (VDRs) came to North Lake and visited 18 classes to outline how the voting process works and why it is important to vote.
DCCCD is happy to have voter education on our campuses to help you become comfortable voting (and get you excited about the impact voting has in meeting your community's needs). There are lots of resources and websites, but talking with someone in person can be a huge help!
In the end, though, registering is just the first step. Now it's time to get out there and vote!
