Special Requirements: All volunteers fill-out an application out every semester. Bilingual is a plus, but not required. Background check is only required in working with the children. In working with the children, all volunteers/staff are required to view 4 segments of Child Abuse and Neglect.

Potential Projects This Year: With the early childhood preschool we would like to implement more of the arts into our curriculum. In the adult program, assisting the teachers and working in small groups.

Description: Aberg Center for Literacy builds richer lives, stronger families and better communities through programs in English fluency, GED preparation, early childhood education and family literacy. We create community connections for our learners that help them become active and successful participants in our city and our schools. Students can work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call contact person for more information. Background checks are required.
